According to the WHO, 1 in 3 people has poor or no access to clean water. To put things in perspective, about 2.2 billion people have no access to clean water. These people are constantly at risk of contracting preventable diseases such as diarrhea, polio, dysentery, cholera, and typhoid. In fact, about 1,000 children die of these preventable illnesses every day. Considering the fact that water is a human right, that says a lot about how much we have to do to ensure it is universal.GHO is doing its bit to bring clean, safe drinking water to children who need it and we can use your support through your donations.
